Nepenthes Burbidgeae Growing Conditions:

Daytime High's:

78-82 degrees
75-90% humidity

Nightly Low's:

52-60 degrees
82-99% humidity

Soil :

We use long fiber sphagnum with about 5% kanuma and 5% perlite mixed in.  The mix should not be over compressed.

Difficulty :

We consider these fairly easy to grow, especially considering the ultra-highland environment they grow in naturally is fairly hard to duplicate.  They slowly grow a fairly extensive root system so when its time to re-pot, we suggest removing only a small amount of soil such as the surface and anything that might be spoiled.  Keeping as much soil intact as possible and using a light airy substrate should not shock the plant.

Great sized plant

The plant I received was not only healthy but also of a decent size. The leaves had even been pushed back into the pot in order for it to fit during shipping! The plant was about four inches across and the pitcher it came with was almost two inches tall.
