Drosera Binata is an easy to grow sundew which is easy to grow in lots of conditions, however bright light is required for this sundew to maintain vertical growth. Temperatures of 60-80 degrees would be considered optimal for growth and the development of deep red colors.
Ours ship potted are the same size or larger than pictured and its not even summer yet!
Warning: Last items in stock!
Drosera Binata naturally receives a dormancy period during the winters where temperatures drop into the 40 degree range. During this time the leaves retreat and form a hibernaculum which is essentially a sundews "rhizome" which forms just above the soil surface.
A dormancy period is recommended however it is widely accepted that little to no dormancy is required. Just bright light and the occasional feeding which will not be neccessary if grown outdoors because binata will catch lots of bugs!
Plant arrived faster than expected and looks exactly like the picture posted
The size of this sundew alone is quite amazing but to watch the individual leaves grow from the center and reach out into a kind of "tangled mess" is really cool and easy to just get lost looking at it.
