Drosera Andromeda (D. schizandra × prolifera) - A hybrid sundew which has large paddle shaped leaves which grows really well with highland nepenthes. These were grown invitro from seed so the color and leave shape is slightly variable. The dew is very thick and slimy, prey is eaten rather quickly considering the low temperatures and lighting
Plants we are offering are roughly 3.5" in diameter.

Drosera Andromeda Growing and Care
Drosera schizandra × prolifera should be grown in very moist, cool conditions. They grow really well with highland nepenthes and do quite well under lower levels of light.
Optimal growing conditions will be very moist and cool, avoiding direct or intense lighting. On the floor or lower levels below your nepenthes should work well. Soil should be kept moist at all times. We have found no need to have them in standing water if kept very moist, however a shallow water tray is recommended.
Potting media is a blend of chopped long fiber sphagnum moss, silica sand and perlite. In a 75/25% ratio
The plant I recieved met and went above expectations. It regained its dew the next day after opening and has been flowering non-stop since I got it this spring. It's so big beautiful. And it's so happy in the conditions I have, so I couldn't be more happy.
Great sundew! Thanks!
The plant I received was very large and robust, resuming growth a few days after shipment in late November. It has multiple division starting at the base and is growing a flower stalk this week. I've been looking for the Andromeda hybrid for a few years, and I'm glad to see them available regularly here and at a good price. Thanks!
