Sarracenia Minor

New

Sarracenia Minor | S. Minor is often called the hooded pitcher plant due to its domed pitcher which has a very narrow opening. The nectar glands inside attract insects inside where they get lost and inevitably end up being consumed

This is the typical form, pitchers reach 12"+. Our older plants get larger and form nice patches of pitchers which develop deep red hoods during the fall.

More info

Sarracenia Minor is an easy to grow variety which is tolerant to cold temperature. The unique hood makes it a very popular plant. If your bog garden includes sarracenia, then you will want 1-2 of these! Rhizomes are approximately 1.5 inches wide, so you can expect flowering size plants next spring.
