Carnivorous Bromeliads are essentially the most rare carnivorous plants.  One percent or less of bromeliads have adapted to be carnivorous.  Primarily due to geography and isolation the small percent of this widely distributed species is carnivorous.  Easy to care for, heat and humidity loving plants.

  • Broccihinia Reduca | Easy to grow, hard to cultivate, these are one of the only bromeliads which are know to be carnivorous. While a small percentage of bromeliads have sub-carnivorous tendancies, B. reducta is the only true carnivore that we have grown.  They love humidity, are easy to grow, warm temperatures will help a lot.
